Conceptions, strategies
Currently, Lithuania's long-term strategy until 2050 is in force: State Progress Strategy ‘Lithuania’s vision for the future ‘Lithuania 2050’’. The vision has been formulated in the light of discussions between citizens and experts and their responses to emerging problematic issues. When considering the possible futures, two dimensions were chosen, which cover the most relevant, and at the same time the most difficult to predict, directions of change for Lithuania. The first dimension is the system of government of Lithuania and the surrounding countries and the situation of the international system. The second dimension is education.
The mid-term strategy until 2030 is also in force: National Progress Plan (NPP) 2021–2030. The NPP was prepared to identify the main changes to be achieved in the country over the decade and to ensure progress in the social, economic, environmental and security fields.
To achive the goals of the NPP, development programs are adopted. The programs that the Ministry of Social Security and Labour coordinates can be found on the Lithuanian version of the website.
