Social insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases
The following benefits are paid from the funds for social insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases:
- the insured who has fully or partially lost the participation as a result of an insured event receives:
– a benefit for illness resulting froman accident at work, on the way to or from work or occupational disease (“the sickness benefit”);
– a lump-sum compensation for the loss of participation;
– a periodic compensation for the loss of participation;
- in case of death of the insured person as a result of an insured event, each member of his family receives a lump-sum insurance benefit divided equally between them;
- in case of death of the insured person as a result of an insured event, each member of his family receives periodic insurance benefit divided by the number of individuals entitled to receive it and increased by one;
Benefits are paid to individuals who are entitled to receive them if accidents at work or occupational diseases were examined and recognized to be the insured events.
