Compensation for special working conditions

Compensations for special working conditions are granted to persons who had worked, during an established period, in special working conditions and to whom no state social insurance old-age pension, a pension for a service record, a pension of the Republic of Lithuania or a personal pension was awarded before 1 January 1995 or no regular compensation payments for special working conditions was awarded after 1 January 1995.

The monthly compensation rate is 136.4% of the basic pension.

Please note that where the term of payment of the compensation or a part thereof ends from 1 January 2012 but the person has not reached the old-age pension age yet, the compensation will be paid until the said age is reached irrespective of the fact that the number of payable monthly compensations is exceeded in this case.
