EESSSI Project final event and results of the Project
On 25 July 2019, the Action closing event was held at the Ministry of Social Security and Labour. The participants of the event were introduced with the Action results and the operation of national applications installed during the Action was demonstrated. Each Action partner introduced their activities and answered the questions of the event participants.
The Lithuanian competent institutions connect to the EESSI system European part and EESSI Central service node via the national Access Points. Two Access Points (Access Point ApLT02 administered by the State Social Insurance Fund Board and Access Point ApLT01 administered by the National Health Insurance Fund) and four national applications comprise the Lithuanian national EESSI system.
During the Project two national Access Points and three of four national applications (i.e. national application of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, Employment Service and National Health Insurance Fund) were installed in order to implement this Action. The personnel of these institutions, including the specialists from social assistance offices of all the municipalities’ administrations, were trained to work with new software
The installation of the national application of the State Social Insurance Fund Board was not included into the activities of this Action.
Until the end of the Project about 70% of all financing meant for the Action were imbibed.
61 institutions will work with the national application of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour (i.e. Ministry of Social Security and Labour and 60 municipalities’ administrations), it encompasses 22 business use cases (BUC).
The specialists of one institution, i.e., Employment Service, working with the social security coordination regulations will work with the installed Employment Service national application. The Employment Service national application encompassed 12 BUCs.
The National Health Insurance Fund national application creation and installation activities are planned to be fully completed until 1 February 2020. It is envisaged that the national application being installed by the National Health Insurance Fund will encompass 40 BUCs, associated with sickness or accident at work and occupational diseases benefits in kind. The National Health Insurance Fund and 5 Territorial Health Insurance Funds will work with the national application.
