Important for the Ukrainians: Hot Line 1808 will be open 24/7
In response to the flows of the war refugees from Ukraine that are not decreasing and in order to provide the Ukrainians coming to Lithuania with the information about social and health care, registration centres, returning home, and other important issues, Hot Line 1808 operating 24/7 will be launched on the 20th of June.
IMPORTANT. The operators will consult the war refugees calling to short number 1808 in the Ukrainian, English and Russian languages.
More than 56 thousand Ukrainian war refugees have found their temporary home in Lithuania this year, 22 thousand of them are underage and 1.2 thousand – unaccompanied underage persons. 19 underage Ukrainians have been granted custody in the Lithuanian families.
In the last five years, from 2017 until 2021, there were received 3 thousand applications of the foreigners for asylum in Lithuania, while this number in the first half-year of this year has exceeded the aforementioned number many times because of the Ukrainian war refugees coming to our country.
